West Chester, PA (PRWEB) October 27, 2007
On a beautiful fall day at the Downingtown Country Club, a team of Cenero employees along with some esteemed clients and vendors enjoyed the great feeling of supporting a community as well as with a fun round of golf.
Cenero has hosted this event for a number of years but this year was extra special. Not only did Cenero contribute to a worthy cause, organizations affiliated with Cenero, NutriSystem, Adventure Aquarium, and others graciously donated to the charity raffle.
"Paoli Hospital has been a solid fixture in this community for over 23 years, providing quality care with skill and compassion. By offering our support we are helping to ensure a continuation of their high standards into the next millennium," states Rob Gilfillan, President of Cenero.
Pamela Clark from Paoli Hospital states, "Paoli Hospital is honored to be the beneficiary of the funds raised through Cenero's golf tournament. Cenero's gift is designated to Paoli's $16.5 million expansion campaign, Building Paoli Hospital One story at a time. The hospital is currently building the Patient Care Pavilion which will nearly double our size, enabling Paoli to meet the growing healthcare needs of our region. By choosing to support Paoli, Cenero also supports the well-being of our shared community. We are grateful for this contribution and appreciate the opportunity to partner with this outstanding company."
Cenero supports the community in other great ways as well. In the Spring of 2005 Cenero began delivering meals to Chester County residents. This project was spearheaded by Carlo Beuf. He had helped to set up a Meals on Wheels program in the past and he knew after he joined the Cenero team that it would be supported and well received.
Meals are prepared at the Chester County Hospital, where Cenero sales staff and several members of the administrative staff pick up the coolers and envelopes for their route. The route varies depending on the health and schedules of our members. The Meals on Wheels program provides not only a hot meal, but also a means to check in on folks who may be ill or not be able to leave their homes, and is valued by the families of these folks as well. It is also often the only contact they have with other people during the day.
Chris Henry, CEO of Cenero states, "This program is another example of the quality of staff we have at Cenero. It helped everyone who participated better understand the needs of their community and gives them a vehicle for being part of a service to that community. We have enjoyed being a part of the Chester County Meals on Wheels program and sharing our time with our neighbors."
