This year and for the seventh year in a row, Scala hosted its annual EMEA Partner Conference on October 17th and October 18th in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

One of Scala's special guests was Scala founder Jon Bøhmer. He established the company one day before his 20th birthday in 1987. The debut this year of the Scala Content Contest was a great success. During the conference all attendees were able to view the content submitted by the contestants and vote for the best among a selective group of nominees. With 32% of the votes, the winner was Seen Media in Germany, with content created for the NORDSEE Fischspezialitäten project. Seen Media was also recently recognized with the "Best Practice Award" during the Viscom event in Germany earlier this year on account of its Galeria Kaufhof project.

Also celebrated were the Scala Award Winners of 2007 in the following main categories:

  • IBM (Germany), represented by Christiane Viereck for the Most Scala InfoChannel 3 Players Deployed award.
  • Digifour Technologies (India), represented by Sherin Nazer and Anas Ahmed for the Most Scala InfoChannel 5 Players Deployed award.
  • ESY PROD (France), represented by Stéphane Sivori and Yann Laurencon for the Best Performing Newcomer award.
  • Specialized Software Services (UAE), represented by Ahmed El Ridi for the Most New Customers award.
