In Smashing through industry performance barriers, company demonstrates its commitment to setting new benchmarks in scalability, density and price/performance.

TelcoBridges Inc., supplier of the industry's most innovative and versatile telecom hardware and software products for developers, today announced its Tmedia TMP6400 series of telecommunications platforms. Available in a 1U form factor, the TMP6400 series breaks through current industry benchmarks with double the density of currently available products.

The Tmedia TMP6400 series is a highly flexible communications platform offering a modular, field-upgradeable architecture for VoIP, TDM and IVR applications. By simply adding or swapping plug-in modules, the Tmedia TMP6400 can scale to a maximum capacity of 64 T1/E1/J1, 3 DS3 or 1 OC3/STM-1 ports and up to 2,048 VoIP and IVR channels. Prior to today, available products supported a maximum of 1,024 channels, or half the capacity of the Tmedia TMP6400 family. What's more, TelcoBridges' highly scalable architecture can support telecom systems with up to 32,768 non-blocking channels by interconnecting as many as 16 Tmedia TMP6400 units via the company's Tmedia Switch.

"Achieving operational and financial success in this industry is fundamentally tied to building telecom systems with maximum scalability, flexibility and call density," said John Dwyer, President and CEO for Interop Technologies. "TelcoBridges' new TMP6400 family is redefining these terms, with incredible performance in every category, including double the density of anything available on the market."]

The Tmedia TMP6400 series is currently available in 1U form factor as the TMP6401, and as the TMP6402 offering a redundant power option. Both models are available for AC or DC power. In addition to record-breaking density and flexibility, the TMP6400 series offers:

  •     Dual redundant 100/1000Base-T VoIP traffic ports
  •     Separate dual redundant 100/1000Base-T LAN ports for control
  •     Signaling support for SIP, SS7 HA, ISDN, and CAS
  •     TelcoBridges' Simplicity development tools (Toolpack API and ExpresSCE+)

"In our drive to take the best ideas and turn them into a clear future for communication system developers, we understand that no two systems are the same and that every customer must be empowered with the flexibility to grow and evolve," said Gaetan Campeau, President of TelcoBridges. "We hope today's announcement is a signal to the industry that TelcoBridges is committed to our goal of unrivalled leadership in the areas of scalability, flexibility and price/performance."
