I saw countless sites that only had links to sites, that linked to sites, that linked to sites, none of which contained anything but links to more link sites

http://www.usexpos.org has launched a Web site that lists a wide variety of events from across the country. Just a few weeks after its launch, this free site already contains a large list of Craft Expos, Bridal Shows, Car Shows, Health Fairs, Trade Shows, Job Fairs, Shopping Events and much more.
Michael W. Rogers, owner of usexpos.org, says the response in the few weeks since launch has been incredible.
"The site was actually formed out of my own frustration with finding event information, or rather not finding it," Rogers says. "Search engines will yield hundreds of thousands of results on any topic, but finding that rare gem that actually has the information you need can be a daunting task."
A few weeks ago, Rogers searched for a few expos to attend in the area. He spent hours sorting through outdated Web sites that are still listing "upcoming" events for 2004.
"I saw countless sites that only had links to sites, that linked to sites, that linked to sites, none of which contained anything but links to more link sites," Rogers says. "I found out there was little to no collaboration, no updating and the few that actually had any relevant information wanted to charge hundreds of dollars for it. You also didn't know what information they did have until your credit card cleared, and then would it be what you needed, or would you have to pay for membership to another site, and yet another to find what you needed.
"I believe people shouldn't have to spend days digging through various sites, or pay a single penny, just to find out what is going on in their area, or any area. I knew I found something that needed immediate correction. http://www.usexpos.org is filling a great need in the online community. We are quickly becoming the source for all event related content across the entire country, and we will continue to grow daily to meet the needs of event attendees and all those working in the event industry. There is no cost for the public to view, no membership hassles and it's currently free for event promoters and venues to advertise on the site. I would encourage everyone to go to http://www.usexpos.org and list their community's events. This is a great way to get the word out to the public."
