Chesham, UK (PRWEB) October 30, 2007
pod3.tv, the UK's fastest growing video-podcast webTV company, has launched a rband new version of their website, which now includes many more features. Eton Digital web development and internet marketing company were awarded the contract and delivered on time and to budget.
"We love our new website," says Neil Fairbrother, founder of pod3.tv. "We listened to our audience and have basically given what was asked for; show previews which we call Minipods, a community, show ranking tools, news about our show guests by way of an e-Zine. We also launched a competition to win video iPods and our very own magazine called Imagine! too."
"We were delighted to be asked to take pod3.tv to the next level," commented Boban Tanovic of Eton Digital. "We had to re-write the site completely, using Drupal, to accommodate the feature list. I know they have more innovations planned and we built this site to allow them to incrementally add their feature list over time."
The migration from the previous site, which achieved a ranking in the top 27,000 websites on the planet eight weeks after launch, went smoothly.
"We involved not just Eton Digital but also our web hosting company Gravity Internet in the project," explained Fairbrother. "Not only did we have to transfer all the content from the previous site, but we used a new server installed and tested by the Gravity Internet team. I was amazed at how quickly and smoothly the transfer and launch went."
Video-podcasts will download into iTunes on Mac or PC, the latest versions of Quicktime and iTunes are needed - these can be downloaded for free by clicking on the "Get iTunes" button on Thamesvalleypod.tv or by visiting http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
pod3.tv was the brainchild of Neil Fairbrother who created the 6th fastest growing brand in the UK in 2002 (Langley-based Neos Networks) where he invented Liquid Bandwidth™ business-to-business telecoms service. Neil left when Neos was sold in 2003 to Scottish & Southern Energy plc. Neil had the idea for pod3.tv at the January 2006 planning meeting of Maidenhead Ecademy - a networking meeting of local businesses that meets monthly at Norden Farm. First round of funding was secured in the summer 2006 from Music Systems Ltd, now rebranded as pod3av.com
