Fujifilm and Terminal Van Gogh Demonstrate a Data Driven, 1to1 Communication and Web2Print Application at Graphics Canada

Terminal Van Gogh Ltd. The application is the second phase of a collaboration between Fujifilm and TVG to demonstrate data driven 1to1 marketing. The first phase was the deployment of a customized, fully variable cover for the October edition of Graphic Arts Magazine. The customized 1to1 covers were sent to every subscriber and personalized based on corporate demographics, geography, company, position and existing relationship with Fujifilm. One of the calls to action was to visit the Fujifilm booth at the Graphics Canada show to learn more about 1to1 communication from their own individual perspective - as an owner, salesperson, production person or graphic designer.

The purpose of the joint collaboration between TVG and Fujifilm is to promote variable print applications to commercial printers. Many equipment vendors promote the potential of variable print, but few can demonstrate its application for their own business. Fujifilm initiated the project to showcase its industry leading knowledge and ability to guide its commercial print customers on the potential of variable print.

"FujiFilm wants to show more than just whether an integrated 1to1 marketing program can be built and deployed." stated Tony Karg, Senior Director of Marketing and Business development, Fujifilm Canada. "We wanted to show this application can be successfully used to drive real, improved business performance in a sustainable manner". The purpose of the customized 1to1 Graphic Arts Magazine covers in the first phase was to start a dialogue with Fujifilm customers and prospects and drive them into feedback channels of either direct to the salesperson, 1-800 number or the tradeshow booth at Graphics Canada.

In Fujifilm's booth at Graphics Canada, attendees who take the booth tour can receive a personalized 1to1 cover with their picture on the front cover of either Canadian Printer Magazine or Graphic Monthly Canada. The attendees need only provide their basic business card information, fill-out a short survey and have their picture taken. They will personally experience a powerful example of a data driven, Web2Print 1to1 communication document. Terminal Van Gogh's TVG-Engine™ will generate a print ready file from a web interface that will be printed on the industry leading Xerox iGen3 production machine in the Fujifilm booth. Simultaneously, the TVG-Engine™ will send a customized email to each candidate thanking them for participating. A true multi-channel experience.

The third phase of the project is to follow-up with individuals from the show with relevant and effective 1to1 communication.
