AdaptiveMobile, the leading security provider of mobile subscriber protection for enterprises and individuals, today announced that it has been selected as one of two finalists in the prestigious GSMA Mobile Innovation Program's Asia Awards for Most Innovative Carrier Infrastructure and Platform.
AdaptiveMobile is being heralded for its revolutionary unified customer protection platform – the Policy Control Framework– that allows mobile operators to offer mobile security and filtering capabilities for enterprises and individuals. The GSMA Asia Mobile Innovation Awards Finalists are determined from nominations by senior executives at mobile operators and in the venture capitalist community.
"Mobile devices are now a core extension of an individual and an enterprise, and we are committed to ensuring safe, seamless protection and customizable controls for all mobile users," said Lorcan Burke, Chief Executive Officer at AdaptiveMobile. "We are deeply honored by being nominated as a finalist, especially as this is selected by the mobile industry themselves."
AdaptiveMobile's Policy Control Framework is implemented with Tier-One operators globally, but in particular AdaptiveMobile is working with several Asian operators because of their high adoption of mobile data services, and commitment to preserving cultural values. By preventing spam, malware and inappropriate content, Asian operators are setting the foundations in place to generate new revenues from Parental controls and Mobile Advertising using AdaptiveMobile's unique Subscriber Behaviour capabilities.
The GSMA's Asia Mobile Innovation Awards are part of the organization's Mobile Innovation Programme designed to stimulate and showcase innovation around mobile services and better align innovations with the needs of the mobile industry and its customers. The GSMA will announce the winners at the Mobile Innovation Summit at its GSMA Mobile Asia Congress in Macau on November 12 and 13.
"With the mobile device incorporating the same abilities and functions as PCs, mobile operators need to ensure a mobile user experience that allows for customization without compromising on security," said Julien Blin, Research Analyst in the Wireless and Mobile Communications group, IDC. "This nomination shows the industry's enthusiastic response to AdaptiveMobile's content filtering and security platform."
"We are thrilled with the quality of innovations submitted to the Asia Mobile Innovation Awards," said Bill Gajda, Chief Commercial Officer of the GSMA "The Mobile Innovation Programme aspires to create a global environment for getting business done, by discovering and showcasing exceptional products and companies to top executives from operators, VCs and equipment vendors."
