Wisewomensworld Has an Aim is to Change the Way Aging and Older Women are Perceived

This article is about "two women and a web," whose objective it is to change aging attitudes, and a very auspicious day was chosen to launch -- 1/10/2007 -- International Day of "Older Persons" -- United Nations. This website's intention is to retain and continue this positive focus on aging and to reinforce in the community that 'being older is a part of life, not the bane of life.'

(PRWEB) November 2, 2007 -- Wisewomensworld is a new website primarily aimed at women over the age of 50 and hundreds of women have already been enjoying their new sanctuary. It encourages, inspires and informs and more importantly brings together a group of women who have a wealth of knowledge about the subject itself -- living past 50 and all of its issues.

Media and advertising constantly imply there is a stigma attached to being an older woman, especially regarding failing beauty, and the goal of WiseWomensWorld.com is to quash that theory.

two women and a web
By providing thought provoking articles, discovering ways of enhancing all aspects of womanhood, by sharing the insights of successful women and by convincing baby boomers to embrace aging, and not regret it, is the website's resolve. The important issue of "changing the way over fifties think" is just as important as changing the attitude of younger generations.

Gigi and Lana are the faces behind this innovative new website. They will attempt to unify knowledge as a way to solve problems, question inconsistencies and prejudices in society, break new ground, but also to entertain and inspire each other.

"We plan to be Pro Age and will push those boundaries so that 'older women' becomes the much more attractive label of 'wise women'. We are all advancing forward so in no way should ageing be seen as negative," said Gigi

"By endeavouring to create a wealth of knowledge, this will improve the world for older women, and for society as a whole. For every step of the way, let us be positive and regard every moment as valuable," said Lana.

What is WiseWomensWorld.com all about?
Wisewomensworld is all about attitude! And that attitude is revealed in the poem, "Phenomenal Women" by Maya Angelou.

Wisewomensworld is a fresh, quirky and fun environment for women over fifty where topics such as menopause and health are discussed and preventative therapies and natural ways are encouraged.

The creation of this new website allows for a community of women dealing with the conundrum of older age to get together, be inspired, follow dreams and enhance the image of wise women everywhere.

Wisewomensworld is a fresh, quirky and fun environment for women over 50.
