Nashville, TN (PRWEB) November 4, 2007 --THA Solutions Group announced today the endorsement of DSH Management Solutions, LLC (DMS) as the preferred vendor for Medicare disproportionate share hospital (DSH)/340B revenue/expense management.
"Hospitals in Tennessee are operating in an increasingly difficult financial environment, "said Craig A. Becker, president, Tennessee Hospital Association (THA). "Services provided by DMS can assist institutions in maintaining financial viability, and allow a continuation of services to those that cannot afford healthcare insurance. We believe the shift to proactive management of Medicare DSH revenue and 340B pharmacy cost reduction provided by DMS's MDSS© proprietary system can be beneficial to hospitals."
Robert Gricius, president, DMS, noted, "We look forward to working with THA Solutions Group to provide added value to its membership by helping to quantify the community benefits provided and through the provision of tools to ensure that hospitals receive the full amount of financial benefits available from the Medicare DSH and 340B outpatient pharmacy expense reduction program. We believe the 'perfect storm' confluence of regulatory, judicial and healthcare data set standardization presents a unique and timely opportunity for hospitals to capitalize on retrospective Medicare components of federal revenue, improve 340B revenue, and prospectively manage market share and revenue streams from the federal Medicare DSH and 340B programs."
(Bill) F. Jacobs, Jr., president, WFJ Associates, will be leading the marketing program for Tennessee. Jacobs is a long-time hospital executive who understands the financial issues facing hospitals today and has worked with THA in the past. Jim Wade, regional vice president, WFJ Associates, also will be working with THA Solutions Group.
