American Citizens Abroad Links Up With the Overseas Vote Foundation

American Citizens Abroad becomes the newest member of the Overseas Vote Foundation Strategic Alliance Program, and Jacqueline Bugnion, Director of ACA, is appointed to the OVF Advisory Board.

Geneva (PRWEB) November 5, 2007 -- American Citizens Abroad (ACA) is pleased to announce that it has been invited by Overseas Vote Foundation (OVF) to join their Strategic Alliance Program. OVF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan public charity incorporated in Delaware, dedicated to helping overseas American citizens and members of the military to register faster, more easily and more accurately than ever before.

"It is an honor for ACA and for myself to collaborate closely with OVF which is so devoted to its mission," stated Ms. Bugnion. "OVF is playing a key role in enfranchising overseas American voters with its enhanced website www.overseasvotefoundation.org ."

This site allows for easy voter registration for federal elections for US citizens residing overseas, civilians as well as active duty members of the armed forces. The voter selects his/her state of voting residence and is then guided step-by-step through the questions required by that state to generate a completed registration form. The voter can then download the completed form print, sign and mail it to the address of the appropriate election office which OVF provides. The OVF site eliminates confusion about how to register and greatly accelerates the transmission of documents for voting.

ACA is proud to be a member of the OVF Strategic Alliance Program and to be associated with OVF's efforts to enfranchise voters. "ACA plans to put significant effort into outreach in 2008 to inform Americans overseas of the existence and advantages of this website," added Ms. Bugnion.
