Interactivate Launches "Share To Care" Social Network Website Aids San Diego Fire Recovery
Share to Care is a new social networking website at www.sdfirerebuild.com designed to facilitate communications and provide resources for recovery from the recent San Diego and Southern California wildfires of October 2007. It is a community service of Interactivate, Inc., a San Diego-based online marketing firm.
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) November 7, 2007 -- Interactivate, Inc. announced the launch of "Share to Care" today. The social networking website, which the public can accessed via www.sdfirerebuild.com, will facilitate communications and provide resources for recovery from the devastation caused by the recent wildfires.
"Social networks are playing an increasingly important role during and in the aftermath of disasters. This is our way of contributing to the community and the recovery effort by offering a non-commercial forum where people can share their stories and find support in the rebuilding effort," said Jack Abbott, Interactivate's founder and CEO.
"Everyone is welcome to participate. Even if you weren't a victim of the fires, you probably know someone who was or have a personal experience to relate," Abbott said, noting that the site is open to the public and includes links to community and government resources. "If you know of a valuable resource, we encourage you to post it."
Abbott said he hopes that some of Interactivate's clients, which include a number of residential builders and developers, will join the "Share to Care" effort. "If anyone wants to post about rebuilding workshops, clean-up information, lot swaps or similar services, we welcome that level of participation, too."
