Global Mesh Technologies' Interoperable Communications Solutions Demonstrated at DHS Top Officials 4 (Topoff 4)

New interoperable communications solutions demonstrated at Topoff 4.

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) November 6, 2007 -- Santa Cruz County, Nogales, AZ, a customer of Global Mesh Technologies (GMT) was invited by the State of Arizona to showcase their recently deployed technologies at Topoff 4, the fourth segment of the congressionally mandated series of exercises administered by the DHS. Throughout the five day exercise, federal, state, local and international officials and first responders join with private sector and nonprofit organizations in disaster simulation exercises. More than 15,000 participants in Arizona, Oregon, Washington, D.C., and Guam along with the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia participated in this exercise.

Santa Cruz County along with local consulting firm G-PST, LLC demonstrated GMT's interoperable communications software, CAMMS™ (Command Anywhere Mobile Mesh Software) to officials and media representatives at the Chandler Fire Training Facility in Chandler, AZ on October 16th, 2007 as part of the one-day static display event for Arizona.

CAMMS™ software used in conjunction with COTS networking hardware and standard 2.4 GHz and 4.9 GHz devices enables a self-forming, self-healing, and scalable wireless broadband mobile mesh network through which public safety agencies can securely share information in real time.

"Utilizing CAMMS™, we were able to view video from aerial IP cameras mounted on a Santa Cruz County's Haz Mat Response Vehicle and share this live video over the secure mesh network created by CAMMS™" stated Lori Thomas of G-PST,LLC. Thomas also demonstrated CAMMS™ IP camera discovery using the multiple cameras positioned around the event campus, as well as video conferencing capabilities, interactive whiteboarding, file sharing and other features of the software.

Utilizing a satellite Internet connection, remote users at the Santa Cruz County EOC in Nogales, AZ were able to join the mesh using CAMMS™Web, the 'Internet gateway' feature of CAMMS™. Although CAMMS™ requires no fixed infrastructure to create a mesh network, it is capable of "broadcasting" the locally-formed mesh to the Internet to provide access to the mesh to any remote computer with Internet access (authentication is required to allow the remote computer to access the local mesh).

"The system's ease of use combined with its powerful features makes this an invaluable tool in helping agencies achieve interoperability", summarized Ms. Thomas.

About Global Mesh Technologies:
Global Mesh Technologies (GMT) was formed to leverage products developed by our parent company, Large Screen Display Rentals LLC (LSDR). LSDR designs, engineers and manufactures custom large format video & data display systems and services both national and international customers. These systems are used primarily in command and control environments to display and share information. LSDR has manufactured systems for the National Hurricane Center, Dept. of Homeland Security, fire and police dispatch centers & utilities companies.

GMT developed CAMMS™ (Command Anywhere Mobile Mesh Software) to enable interoperable communications. CAMMS™ software enables public safety agencies to communicate seamlessly through a totally secure, scalable mobile mesh (ad hoc) network. Local, state and federal agencies can share information in real time, anywhere.

CAMMS™ mobile mesh software, used in conjunction with off-the-shelf networking hardware and standard Windows notebook, hand-held or tablet computers enables broadband mobile mesh. The CAMMS™ software controls the networking hardware to establish an ad hoc, self-forming, self-healing network and provides an easy-to-use interface to enable non-technical users to make full use of the capabilities of the software: share live digital video, white boarding, instant messaging, file sharing and more.
