Menlo Park, Calif. (PRWEB) November 7, 2007 -- Cheeky Monkey Toys (www.cheekymonkeytoys.com) at 640 Santa Cruz Avenue in Menlo Park, California, will begin providing x-ray fluorescence lead testing for toys to assure customers in light of recent recalls and concerns about toy safety. This high end testing machine by Innov-X Systems Corporation is specifically designed to detect the presence of lead on the surface of toys.

Toys purchased at the store can undergo free testing after purchase. If a toy tests positive for lead, the customer will receive a full refund and Cheeky Monkey Toys will inform the manufacturer. The normal store return policy is in effect for toys that test negative for lead.

The store will host two days of free lead testing so families can bring in up to five of their child's favorite toys to check for presence of lead. For additional testing on more than five toys, parents can make an appointment and pay for the testing on a time increment basis.
