The Finest Quality Custom Firearms on Display at the Firearms Engravers & Gunmakers Exhibition - Reno, Nevada January 25-27, 2008

"The North American Classic Hunting Rifle" is a collaboration of custom gunmakers and firearms engravers. The team of Ralf Martini, Martin Hagn and Marty Rabeno built this classic rifle to commemorate the 25th anniversary year of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild.

Cody, WY (PRWEB) November 16, 2007 -- One of the highlights of this year's show will be the "North American Classic Hunting Rifle." The concept for this magnificent hunting rifle began five years ago during the 2002 exhibition in Reno, NV. The team of Ralf Martini and Martin Hagn collaborated with engraver Marty Rabeno and built this classic .300 Winchester Mag. rifle in tribute to the great struggle of life and death in the wild. Engraving in fine line gold inlay on the tiggerguard commemorates the 25th Anniversary of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild (ACGG).

Current ACGG President Al Lind commented, "The American Custom Gunmakers Guild was formed in 1983 to exchange ideas, techniques and promote public awareness of the exquisite craft in gunmaking. The raffle of 'The North American Classic Hunting Rifle' allows someone a chance to own a custom firearm that might not be able to afford to have one commissioned."

In 1985 the ACGG and the Firearms Engravers Guild of America (FEGA) decided to join efforts and present a venue to showcase the work of their memberships. FEGA President Rex Pedersen eloquently states, "A perfect marriage between metal and wood."

The Firearms Engravers Guild of America was formed in 1981; currently they have 500 members worldwide. The FEGA's purpose as an organization is to create unity among engravers, share ideas and allow those who have an interest in engraving an opportunity to meet with some of the best engravers in the world. There will be several seminars put on by FEGA on Monday January 28th. Both Guilds will present seminars on Monday, January 28th on various technical topics.

The exhibition is the only time where the public can enjoy the finest quality in custom rifles, handguns and shotguns made and engraved by America's leading individual craftsmen. Members of the Firearms Engravers Guild and the American Custom Gunmakers Guild will exhibit their latest creations at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino in Reno, NV. Hours for the exhibition are Friday 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
