JEMSprepare and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Join in e-Learning Distribution Partnership

The Allied Health Sciences School at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas will soon begin a new Internet-based offering of their lectures for emergency medical technicians and paramedics via JEMSPrepare.com, which is hosted by USA Prepare, a division of MC Strategies. Each lecture will be worth 1.5 hours of Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services-approved education.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 16, 2007 -- MC Strategies announced today that USA Prepare, its emergency preparedness unit, and the Allied Health Sciences School at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas will distribute UT Southwestern's online lectures to emergency medical technicians and paramedics via www.JEMSprepare.com. Each lecture will be worth 1.5 hours of Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services-approved education.

"We serve those who daily respond to and work in emergency situations, so we strive to offer training that will provide the best and most current knowledge and skills," said Dr. Tim Boone, Managing Director of USA Prepare, which hosts the JEMSprepare.com site. "We believe that the addition of UT Southwestern's Allied Health Sciences School curriculum to JEMSprepare.com will add variety, quality and breadth; and will significantly increase the value to the subscribers to our site."

The lectures are based upon the clinical experiences of paramedics, emergency nurses and emergency physicians. Lessons combine the instructor's lecture with relevant graphics and on-screen animations, presented full screen with MP3-quality audio, thus engaging learning centers in the brain through visual and auditory stimulation. Just like traditional lectures, students will see the course materials and examples while the instructor explains the concepts.

USA Prepare provides Web-based training featuring content created by experts and custom content developed to suit individual clients' needs. This is accomplished with a cost-effective and proven learning management system, the USA Prepare Knowledge Deployment System® (KDS), used in over 1300 healthcare facilities in the US. With the USA Prepare KDS, busy students proceed at a pace that suits them, while retaining markers allowing resumption of interrupted work. The KDS also tracks each learner's progress and provides reminders for due dates of assignments and certifications.

As part of this new partnership, UT Southwestern will transition from their previous Internet learning platform, housed at www.utsw.ws, to JEMSprepare.com. This important advance will combine the currently CECBEMS-approved online lectures with an extensive menu of additional services. Emergency services providers will now have online tools for testing, tracking of continuing education credits, and access to continuing education completion certificates.
