Minnesota's High School Sports Coach Wins NCAA Championship Volleyball Trip

Varsity high school volleyball coach to receive tickets to NCAA matches and tickets to the American Volleyball Coaches Association National Convention.

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) November 12, 2007 -- Varsity high school Volleyball Coach, Sara Duxbury,for Chatfield High School, Chatfield, Minnesota, was named the winner of the Sports Imports NCAA National Volleyball Championship Trip Giveaway. "I'm still in shock over this whole thing," said Duxbury. "I'm excited to be given the opportunity to hear from the best, watch the best and be in the presence of the best. What coach could ask for anything more?"

Sport Imports is the exclusive distributor of the Senoh inground volleyball net.

Duxbury and a guest will receive free roundtrip airfare to Sacramento, three nights lodging, tickets to all Division I semifinal and final matches, tickets to the American Volleyball Coaches Association National Convention and $500 in spending money.

"We wanted to build a little extra excitement for the NCAA Volleyball Tournament and AVCA Convention. We promoted the events around the country and ended up with hundreds of entries. We are pleased to support such a deserving coach," said Brad Underwood, Sports Imports president.

Sara Duxbury began her career as a volleyball coach in 1986 and has been on the Minnesota State High School League Board of Controls representing Region 1AA since 2001. This season, her Chatfield High School varsity women's team made it to the semi finals after becoming co-winners of their conference with a record of 8-2.

"I enjoy challenging young athletes and trying to bring out 'the best' in them both physically and mentally," Duxbury stated. "I hope to increase my knowledge about the skills and techniques that go into match play -- and critiquing the matches to get a better understanding of what happened that was good, could be better, and how to better compete against another team."

Duxbury also commented that she is excited to take along her twelve-year-old daughter, Alexandra who a volleyball enthusiast and the Chatfield team manager. Alexandra has practiced volleyball constantly for the last four years and dreams of becoming a Division I player. "I could not have offered her this opportunity without the contest given by Sports Imports," said Duxbury.
