Timeshare Consumers Graduate From Boot Camp
Holiday Resales has concluded its fourth webinar, "Timeshare Boot Camp 101," featuring vacation consultant and writer, Lisa Ann Schreier.
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) November 9, 2007 -- Holiday Resales, a division of Holiday Group, has concluded its fourth webinar, "Timeshare Boot Camp 101," featuring vacation consultant and writer, Lisa Ann Schreier. A frequent contributor to the national media, Ms. Schreier is the author of "Timeshare Vacations For Dummies," as well as other books, and founder of Timeshare Insights (www.timeshareinsights.com).
The purpose of the webinar was to educate consumers about the basic essentials of timeshare, and give them the information they need to make informed decisions about the purchase and use of the timeshare product.
"I was pleased with how the seminar went," Schreier said. "I know from talking with consumers around the country that there is lots of confusion out there about timeshare. The more we can educate people, the more they will look into timeshare as a viable alternative to renting hotel rooms while on vacation."
Web seminars, popularly referred to as webinars, are a convenient alternative to traditional seminars, allowing people to participate via their personal computers from work or in the comfort of their homes. "In a live seminar, there is always the nagging suspicion that the presenters are going to launch into a hard sell for something," said Schreier. "No such suspicions in a webinar setting. Although I plan to branch out next year into live seminars, I feel it's important to lay a foundation of no selling through the webinar format."
Gail Bennett, Holiday's Director of Sales, hosted the webinar. "I think this was our most successful webinar thus far," said Bennett. "The program lasted about a half hour, but because of the question and answer session at the end, most listeners stayed with us for a full hour. Lisa is a very engaging speaker and understands the questions that timeshare owners have. Her presentation was very insightful."
Based on the success of her "Bootcamp 101" presentations, Schreier plans to hold more Timeshare Bootcamps in the future. "The main goal is education," Schreier noted, "not necessarily to boost timeshare sales, and this can be a great boon for consumers looking for an experienced yet unbiased source for information about the timeshare product. After all, even if you're buying from the resale market it can be a fairly pricey product, so it's important for people to know how to get the most from it.
