JSCAPE Releases Enhanced Version of Enterprise-Class Managed File Transfer Solution

JSCAPE, a leading supplier of enterprise file transfer software announced the release of JSCAPE Secure FTP Server. Available immediately, JSCAPE Secure FTP Server provides a managed file transfer solution compatible with major platforms including Linux, Solaris, Windows and Mac OS X while supporting all major file transfer protocols including FTP/S, SFTP, HTTP/S and WebDAV.

Miami, FL (PRWEB) November 12, 2007 -- Today JSCAPE, a leading supplier of enterprise file transfer software announced the release of JSCAPE Secure FTP Server. Available immediately, JSCAPE Secure FTP Server provides a managed file transfer solution compatible with major platforms including Linux, Solaris, Windows and Mac OS X while supporting all major file transfer protocols including FTP/S, SFTP, HTTP/S and WebDAV.

Failover support was added to this release for use in high-availability environments. The server can now be configured to synchronize all server configuration data to a failover server or chain multiple failover servers to form a cluster.. Failover capability ensures systems remain available while simplifying server configuration for high-availability environments.

Ad-hoc email transfer support was added to this release addressing a very common problem that arises when a user needs to quickly send a large file to someone outside of their organization. Standard e-mail is not viable for large files since they will be rejected by the recipient SMTP server. Creating an FTP account for the customer can be too complex since it requires getting a system administrator involved, opening up firewalls and installing FTP client software. Ad-hoc email transfer enables users to select files from their account and with just a few clicks send an email message to the recipient that includes a temporary link to download the files using their web browser. Eliminating the issues mentioned above allows users to focus on business.

The ability to copy a trigger is now available. Triggers allow an administrator to automate business processes based on event conditions. Support for copying triggers was added to simply the process of creating triggers that have similar event conditions or actions, saving precious time.

"Unlike many managed file transfer solutions which only support the Windows platform, JSCAPE Secure FTP Server supports all major platforms including Linux, Solaris, Mac OS X and Windows. Platform independence and our focus on meeting the real world needs of our clients makes our server the best solution to the file transfer needs of today's business environment" said Van Glass, CEO.
