New York, NY (PRWEB) November 12, 2007 -- To more effectively serve the rapidly changing needs of the higher education community, Halyard Education Partners' four divisions--Educational Directories Unlimited, eLearners.com, GoalQuest and WorldClass Strategy--have integrated into one dynamic enterprise known as EducationDynamics. EducationDynamics is now the leading interactive marketing and information services company helping higher education institutions find, enroll and retain students.
EducationDynamics, through its three divisions--Prospecting Services, Enrollment Services and Retention Services--currently serves more than 1,800 higher education institutions nationwide.
The Prospecting Services division is on track to generate more than 2.6 million prospective student leads this year alone through some of the most visible education sites on the web, including eLearners.com, GradSchools.com and EarnMyDegree.com. The EducationDynamics portfolio of sites and online marketing services attract more than 3 million unique visitors each month.
EducationDynamics Enrollment and Retentions Services divisions provide some of the only enrollment and retention web-based communications programs in the industry, with a proven track record of increasing enrollment yield by over 6% and boosting retention rates by up to 17%.
"In an industry that each day becomes more competitive and complex, higher education institutions are looking for proven methods of engaging and retaining students, and are embracing technology as the solution," said Steve Isaac, Chairman and CEO of EducationDynamics. "By unifying Educational Directories Unlimited, eLearners.com, GoalQuest and WorldClass Strategy, each respected leaders in their markets, we are now organized as one company to help schools find, enroll and retain students."
Marketing and student affairs professionals recently acknowledged the demand for recruitment, enrollment and retention services in a survey conducted by EducationDynamics among 92 school professionals attending the American Marketing Association conference in San Diego on November 11 - 14th. Highlights from the survey, of which 97% of respondents represented not-for-profit schools, include:
- In the area of student prospecting, while 42% of respondents indicated that they generate the majority of their inquiries online, only 9% of respondents indicated they spend more than 40% of their marketing budget on online inquiry generation. Perhaps as an acknowledgement of the gap, 50% of participants suggested they would be increasing their online marketing spend in the coming year.
- In what is becoming a more metrics-driven industry, only 26% of respondents knew their student cost per start.
- 51% of those surveyed said that maintaining and converting inquiries to enrollments is the biggest obstacle in their student acquisition activities. When asked about technology solutions, 81% suggested that customized online academic and social networks would be helpful in the enrollment efforts.
- 76% indicated that customized online academic and social networking that commenced before or during orientation would be helpful in retention efforts. 82% would find an early warning alert system that notifies administrators when current students are struggling or dissatisfied to be helpful.
- Surprisingly, tools to engage parents throughout the student lifecycle were attractive to this crowd with 55% of respondents saying that online parent communication and networking would be helpful in both converting inquiries into students and reducing attrition among students.
"The creation of EducationDynamics is a direct result of this demand among higher education institutions to generate greater yield at every step of the process in the student lifecycle--prospecting, enrollment and retention--using technology as the facilitator," continued Isaac.
EducationDynamics embraces the belief that providing learners with valuable web-based in-depth information and helpful tools enables them to make informed decisions that, in turn, help schools acquire and retain students who are most likely to succeed in their programs.
EducationDynamics is majority owned by Halyard Capital, a New York-based private equity fund.
