HolidayIQ Launches XChange, India's Most Comprehensive Holiday Q&A Forum

HolidayIQ has launched XChange, its new Holiday Question and Answer forum, where travelers can post their questions or answer others' queries. This allows direct interaction between the site's members, which results in enhanced user experience. With XChange comprising of forums for international travel too, HolidayIQ is on its way to become a one-stop site for Indians for both domestic as well as international holiday planning.

Bangalore, India (PRWEB) November 12, 2007 -- HolidayIQ provides India's 100 million tourists with a new place to get answers to all their holiday doubts. HolidayIQ has named its new holiday Question and Answer forum as XChange, signifying the interaction among the traveling community. HolidayIQ, India's most comprehensive website for holiday information and planning, launched XChange last week, thereby addressing the long felt need for a platform for Indian travelers for information exchange on holidays, travel and planning. Registered users of HolidayIQ can post their holiday queries on XChange or answer questions posted by others. Other visitors can browse the forums and benefit from the rich content on topics ranging from destinations to holiday ideas to travel seasons to just about anything holiday-related that one can think of.

HolidayIQ has planned significant media campaign and several contests to introduce XChange to the Indian Traveler. HolidayIQ sources say that the initial response to XChange has been overwhelming, thus validating the need they felt for a "place" for travelers to ask and answer about holidaying or to just hang around and read about holiday matters. A HolidayIQ member was so far only able to review destinations and hotels or post photographs and interaction between members was indirect. Now, members and visitors can "meet" on XChange and members can directly communicate with each other. Private messaging provides a way for members to interact one-on-one on matters that may not be of interest to others.

With XChange covering forums for international destinations too, HolidayIQ has taken a significant step towards becoming the one-stop site for Indians not just for Indian holidays but for international travel too. HolidayIQ has plans to render the entire site "international" by doing with overseas destinations what it has successfully done with Indian destinations -- that is generating comprehensive and unbiased content on destinations, hotels, airports, etc.

HolidayIQ feels that the launch of XChange will increase traffic to the site manifold and also significantly increase the membership base as visitors will register as members in order to fully exploit the features offered.

By adding a series of product features, HolidayIQ has transformed from being a repository of user content on hotels, resorts and destinations to being the most preferred independent advisor to Indians going on vacations. The site has a listing of over 7200 holiday accommodation options spread across hundreds of destinations, covering all types of accommodation ranging from beach resorts to hill resorts to homestays, to name a few.

HolidayIQ.com is owned by Leisure & Lifestyle Information Services (LLIS), India's first travel media company. HolidayIQ was recently acclaimed as "one of the best travel sites seen anywhere on the web" by Indiastreet.com, India's leading online provider of investment information. Earlier this year, HolidayIQ received a significant minority investment from Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd, the holding company of the Times of India Group, the largest media organisation in India.
