Technology Reduces Fuel Burn and CO2 Emissions up to 4% on Boeing 737 Classics
Our new alliance allows me to bring another significant technological advancement to the commercial airline industry.

Reno, NV (PRWEB) November 14, 2007 -- AeroTech Services, Inc., an aircraft modification and consulting company, announced today that it has formed an alliance with Flight Sciences International to introduce AeroTech's patented wing modification to commercial airlines; which enables the airlines flying Boeing 737 Classics to reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 4% under typical flight conditions.

AeroTech Services, Inc. holds the US Patent on the wing modification for Boeing's 737 -200, -300, -400 and -500 (The Classics). This airfoil improvement is verified and approved by the major civil aviation authorities (FAA, EASA, Transport Canada, and China's CAAC). The modification will reduce fuel burn by up to 4% under normal airline flight operations; and simultaneously reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and other harmful greenhouse gasses (GHGs) without any changes to operational or flight procedures.

Flight Sciences International is the airline industry's leading designer of successful commercial aviation fuel conservation programs. Since 1992, Flight Sciences International has developed fuel conservation programs for major airlines worldwide by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest advances in technology and products which affect airline operation and aircraft performance.

The alliance between the two firms will allow Fight Sciences to present the AeroTech modification as part of its portfolio of fuel conservation remedies they offer to commercial airlines. The low cost modification has a rapid return on investment (ROI). The modification is relatively simple to install; with no permanent aircraft changes required. The kit only takes approximately 300 man hours to install, which means it can be done during regular maintenance visits. The average ROI is 12-15 months under typical airline operations.

Bob Callahan, President of Flight Sciences International noted, "Our new alliance allows me to bring another significant technological advancement to the commercial airline industry."

The airlines have tried addressing the issue of rising fuel prices with other tactics such as reducing weight on the aircraft by modifying food service carts, removing pillows and blankets, carrying less water, and other less effective means. There appears to be an immediate and efficient answer here, with the expertise of Flight Sciences and the AeroTech Services modification.

AeroTech Services, Inc., a Reno, Nevada-based company, holds the US Patent No. 6,598,834 on the wing modification for all aircraft. The company markets and sells the modification worldwide to commercial airline operators.
