SMARTBOX, a leader in providing portable storage and moving solutions to commercial and residential customers has sold its second franchise to service the Los Angeles metro area. the new franchise owners, SoCal Portable Storage expect the new venture to be operational by January 2008.

Richmond, VA (PRWEB) November 16, 2007 -- SMARTBOX, a leader in the portable self-storage industry, announces it is adding a second simple and smart storage franchise in the Los Angeles area, continuing an expansion in recent months that has included new franchises in Atlanta, Boston, South Florida, Chicago, and Minneapolis.

SMARTBOX enables users to pack and load their belongings -- from holiday decorations and extra furniture at home to important documents and seasonal inventory at work -- at their convenience in containers that are 8 feet long, 7 feet tall and 5 feet wide and can hold the contents of up to 1½ rooms (3,000 pound capacity).

When they've finished packing their Smartboxes, they can call SMARTBOX to pick them up and deliver them for storage in one of its secure warehouses or for moving to another location through its SMARTCARE service. Some users also store their Smartboxes at their existing site.

SMARTBOX will begin service at its newest location by mid January 2008, and will compliment the existing San Fernando, CA location.
