New York, NY (PRWEB) November 16, 2007

SharedBook Inc., the Reverse Publishing Platform provider, and The Officer Down Memorial Page, Inc. (ODMP), a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, introduced The Officer Down Memorial Book this week - a unique, personalized on-demand memory book that can be created automatically from the content on each officer's memorial. SharedBook will make a $10 donation to ODMP for each book purchase.

Founded in 1996, ODMP has posted profiles for nearly 19,000 officers to date and offers records dating back to the 1790s. To date in 2007, more than 157 officers, roughly one officer every 48 hours, have lost their lives in the line of duty. This figure is over 20 percent higher than at the same time last year.

Each officer's Memorial includes a photograph of the officer and an image of the agency's shoulder patch when available. Statistical information regarding the officer's age and the time served is also included along with details of the incident. In addition, there is a "Reflections" forum available on each page where visitors can leave messages to the officer and his or her family.

"ODMP is committed to honoring the memory of officers that have made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of justice," said Chris Cosgriff, Founder & Chairman, The Officer Down Memorial Page, Inc. "We see The Officer Down Memorial Book as a way for individuals to use the information contained on ODMP.org as the basis for creating more personal and lasting tributes to their beloved officers, and to make these memorials available as true family heirlooms."

Now, with just one click, individuals will be able to flow an officer's photograph, statistical information and any Reflections directly into an online book making template. The content is automatically configured into a book, which users can choose to purchase from the preview, or personalize further. Individuals can then edit the content and upload additional photographs and memories if they choose. They can also invite family and friends into their personal book making space to contribute.

Pricing for the unique, personalized The Officer Down Memorial Books begins at $24 in softcover and $42 in suede hardcover. This price includes a full-color 20-page book and free domestic shipping. For more information, please go to http://www.odmp.org.
