The Lodge at Sonoma Unveils Luxury Renovations

This month, The Lodge at Sonoma, a four-diamond wine country resort located in the heart of the Sonoma Valley wine region, unveils its renovated guest rooms, spa, and wellness center. A Renaissance Resort & Spa, The Lodge at Sonoma has undergone over $2 million in design enhancements and expanded facilities to give every guest the ideal wine country experience.

Sonoma, CA (PRWEB) November 18, 2007 -- This month, The Lodge at Sonoma, a four-diamond wine country resort located in the heart of the Sonoma Valley wine region, unveils its renovated guest rooms, spa, and wellness center. A Renaissance Resort & Spa, The Lodge at Sonoma has undergone over $2 million in design enhancements and expanded facilities to give every guest the ideal wine country experience.

Surrounded by breathtaking views of the Mayacamas Mountains, this Sonoma hotel boasts 182 luxury guest accommodations, including 102 private cottages that pepper the property between the pool and spa. They have all undergone a sensational redesign to emphasize the rustic and relaxing experience of visiting Sonoma.

Aaron King of Koncept Design Group, a Los Angeles-based hospitality design firm, enriched the appeal and comfort of each room by softening the color palette and adding texture with warm neutral tones and muted green hues. Plush leather club chairs and sleeper sofas further enhance the interior. "Our goal in the redesign was to provide the room with the dramatic effect one expects while visiting a Renaissance hotel in wine country," says King.

Additional refurbishment and upgrades to these already luxurious Sonoma accommodations include:

  • Remodeled armoires with granite tops and 32" flat screen LCD/HD TVs
  • Connectivity pack, built into the armoires, which allows for viewing computer screens and digital recording devices on TV
  • Additional outlets to charge peripherals
  • iPod dock and an additional desk chair
  • New carpet in guest rooms
  • Upgraded bathroom fixtures

Located inside the main lodge, the Wellness Center has undergone a complete remodel with the addition of 2007 Life Fitness cardio and strength equipment, each with LCD TVs attached. In addition, a flat screen TV has been added to the strength area, while new flooring and interior paint complete the refreshed look. The Lodge's intimate Northern California spa, Raindance also received $250,000 in new and improved offerings in April, including a deluxe pedicure room, expanded amenities for couples, and a transformed "Relaxation Room" in which guests can lounge after treatments.

The Lodge at Sonoma was built to showcase the incredible beauty of the valley, providing guests with the authentic flavor and culture of Sonoma in a casually sophisticated wine country restaurant setting. The award-winning Carneros Bistro & Wine Bar's exquisite farm-to-plate cuisine by Chef Janine Falvo rounds out The Lodge experience, which encourages visitors to truly live well.

And guests truly live well when they visit Wine Country's The Lodge at Sonoma. With an exquisite spa and transformational resort, California has never felt so sophisticated and serene.
