Tango Media Announces Big Plans For Digital Growth In 2008

Tango is transitioning from a print to a principally digital platform, capitalizing on the highly personal nature of its love and relationship-centric content and a host of rich media offerings.

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 18, 2007 -- Tango Media announces that its primary focus in 2008 will be digital. Transitioning from print to a principally digital platform allows Tango to provide its users access to timely content and gives it a much larger and more robust means of distribution. Tango is investing in technology and online talent, pursuing a host of strategic partnerships and building strong communities around its content.

Founder and CEO, Andrea Miller, says, "Tango will continue to build content and community for women focused on love and relationships. It is a powerful niche and the print magazine was key to putting us on the map. Over the past few years, we have assembled tremendous talent, created invaluable relationships around this subject, and created a significant archive of highly personal content. A digital platform will enable us to grow much more quickly and better leverage all that we have done to date."

Tango clearly recognizes the opportunity to form a community of smart women around its thought-provoking and engaging content. I'm extremely excited about the commitment Tango has made to Interactive and look forward to developing an environment where women can discuss, share, learn from and identify with our content.
Tango's unique and compelling content segments women according to their LoveStages™, whether they are Single, Taken, Engaged, Married or Starting Over (see LoveStage videos at Tango's website listed below). The segmentation is a key tool for advertisers looking to target a specific audience for their products and services. Tango's powerful content will continue to take center stage, while social networking will play a stronger role going forward. In addition, Tango is currently in production on several video series that it plans to release on its site and in syndication.

Newly hired EVP, Interactive, Brett Shamosh, adds, "Tango clearly recognizes the opportunity to form a community of smart women around its thought-provoking and engaging content. I'm extremely excited about the commitment Tango has made to Interactive and look forward to developing an environment where women can discuss, share, learn from and identify with our content."

Editor in Chief Carrie Sloan, a.k.a. Emoter in Chief, says, "Our content is smart, insightful and honest. It's the kind of stuff you hear women talking about all the time. We're extremely excited about the opportunity to expand our interaction with a passionate community of educated, professional women across all LoveStages™."

The announcement coincides with the release of Tango's inaugural Couple of the Year issue, featuring Al Gore embracing Mother Earth as the cover couple. The company plans to publish an annual Couple of the Year issue and possibly other specially-themed "feature publications" according to market demand.
