Mr. George had been Branch and Account Manager for the CIGNA HealthCare account for Kelly Services in Phoenix, Arizona, where he successfully led the temporary staffing and direct-hire recruiting. Mr. George is joined in business by his wife, and co-owner, Lavelle George. She has served as Director of Compassion House, a home for pregnant teens and teen moms in Phoenix, Arizona, since 1998. After nine years of service to the community, Mr. and Mrs. George made the decision to close Compassion House and relocate the girls to other homes in their community. Compassion House was a family-model home affiliated with Southwest Leadership Foundation and ChildHelp USA. Kevin and Lavelle George and their two daughters opened their home and lived with the moms and the babies. Over the nine year period, they cared for a total of 28 children. Many of the girls lived with them for three or four years. Mr. and Mrs. George continue to have involvement in the lives of these girls who are now young adults with elementary and pre-school children.
Prior to opening Compassion House, Kevin and Lavelle George and their daughters lived in Ulanbatar, Mongolia. Mr. George served as Medical Projects Director for an NGO. He initiated and coordinated a cardiac project with Assist International and Rotary International. The project included the installation of a complete cardiac monitoring system in the main cardiac hospital of Mongolia, and the delivery of pharmaceutical supplies. Trauma nurses and engineers joined the team to educate the Mongolian doctors in the use of the equipment. The total value of the project was $1,000,000 USD.
