New Patent Practice Reflects Strategic Growth

"Creating a patent practice is a strategic growth decision for our firm and an enhancement of our core legal services" said Donald Parker, Managing Partner. The MBBP Patent Practice will provide services in all aspects of the development, prosecution and management of patent portfolios, and the assessment of third party patents.

In explaining her decision to make the move to MBBP, new Shareholder Lisa Treannie said "although my practice at Ropes & Gray was satisfying, having the chance to build an entire department from its foundation was an opportunity I couldn't refuse." Treannie has over 15 years experience specializing in patent law, focusing in the areas of biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and food science.
