The Blenders Add "The Perfect Holiday" Film Credit To 10-Year Anniversary along with Its Holiday Soul Tour, a New Christmas Concert DVD, an Emmy and 2-CD Collection of All Four Previous Holiday CDs

It's officially Santa-certified: The Blenders (www.The Blenders.com) are celebrating in a big way in 2007.
Never in my life have I heard anything recorded this well; the arrangements are superb and the performance is equally as good. I'm stunned.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN (PRWEB) November 26, 2007 -- It's officially Santa-certified: The Blenders (www.theblenders.com) are celebrating in a big way in 2007 with their 10-year anniversary of making the Christmas season merry and bright with a Holiday Soul Tour, a new live performance DVD, "Christmas with The Blenders," a two-disc collection of all four of their Christmas albums called "The Blenders: Christmas Collection" - plus two of their songs are going to be featured in a new nationwide Christmas movie called "The Perfect Holiday," opening December 12. The PG-rated film stars Gabrielle Union, Morris Chestnut, Queen Latifah, Terrence Howard and Charlie Murphy and is directed by Lance Riviera for Destination Films (http://www.theperfectholidaymovie.com). This fall, the group won an Emmy award for its creative television spot for Fox 9 News in the Twin Cities.

The Blenders, an award-winning "vocal band" is celebrating its 10-year anniversary holiday tour with a new concert DVD and a 2-CD collection of all its Chirstmas albums while two of the group's songs are featured in the new movie "The Perdect Holiday."
The Blenders, an award-winning "vocal band" is celebrating its 10-year anniversary holiday tour with a new concert DVD and a 2-CD collection of all its Chirstmas albums while two of the group's songs are featured in the new movie "The Perdect Holiday."

The film use of The Blender's arrangements of "Santa Claus (Is Coming to Town)" and "Deck the Halls" showcase the group's award-winning a cappella sound and sophisticated production strengths. The foursome's signature four-to-six part harmonies that mixes many genres of vocal music, from pop and jazz to choral and classical has influenced a generation of similar singing groups.

Their new deluxe Blenders DVD and CD packages make the perfect gifts for kids from 1 to 93 and offer more than 60 minutes of memorable Christmas concert performance material, while four of their holiday albums - "Nog" (1997), "When It Snows" (2002), "Holiday Best" (2004) and "Most Wonderful Time" (2005) -- revisit the soulful and sonic winter wonderland that has made fans of everyone from international pop diva Erykah Badu to the legendary jazz guitarist and father of modern recording, Les Paul.

Over the 2006 holidays, one such congratulatory email arrived from Les Paul -- the legendary jazz guitarist, who still plays a regular club date at the Iridium jazz club in New York and is an innovative record producer himself, credited with the invention of multitracking in the recording industry. Upon hearing one of the Blenders' Christmas albums, NOG, Paul remarked, "Never in my life have I heard anything recorded this well; the arrangements are superb and the performance is equally as good. I'm stunned."

About "Christmas with The Blenders" and "The Blenders: Christmas Collection"

Now it can be Christmas with The Blenders every day! Offering more than 60 minutes of The Blenders in concert, "Christmas with The Blenders" underscores how the members of this self-described "vocal band" turn their magnificent voices into musical instruments and magically transform their concert stage into a winter wonderland. The new DVD was recorded at last year's five-concert series in Fargo, the Blenders' original hometown. It features a variety of songs from the group's four Christmas albums and last year's acclaimed release, Songs from the Soul, including "Put a Little Love in Your Heart," "Lean on Me" and "Love Train."

Other highlights include "Frosty the Snowman," "Santa Claus (Is Coming to Town)," "Hark, The Herald (Angels Sing)," "I Wonder as I Wander," "Do You Hear What I Hear?" "Pure Imagination/White Christmas," "I Bought You a Plastic Star (for Your Aluminum Tree)," plus the group's own holiday songs, "When It Snows" and "All Wrapped Up." The two-CD collection features 34 songs total, a great value for anyone who loves holiday music. "Christmas with The Blenders" and "The Blenders: Christmas Collection" will be available only at the group's 10th-anniversary concerts and online at www.theblenders.com.

About The Blenders

Originally from that Oscar Award-winning town of Fargo, The Blenders have made Minneapolis home since 1994 and have been together for 17 years. The group's annual holiday tour is a Midwest tradition. Brothers Allan and Darren Rust and childhood friends Tim Kasper and Ryan Lance initially spent 15 years crisscrossing the country with their unique style of vocal harmony music, mixing together classical, choral and a cappella music with jazz, doo-wop, pop, rock and soul.

They have toured 46 states and opened for such acts as Jay Leno, Howie Mandel, Savage Garden, Blues Traveler, Chicago, The Righteous Brothers, Lou Rawls, Chuck Berry and many others. They also have appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show, The Today Show on NBC, Crook & Chase, CNN, WGN TV & Radio and National Public Radio. Their single, "(I'm in Love With the) McDonald's Girl," was a No. 1 hit in Norway and a few other European countries, plus in New Zealand.
