Adam Wooten Joins Elanex as General Manager for the United States
Elanex, Inc. today announces that Adam Wooten, a veteran translation industry executive, has joined as head of its United States business.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 28, 2007 -- Elanex, Inc. today announces that Adam Wooten, an experienced veteran of the translation and localization industries, has joined as General Manager, US. In this role Adam will be responsible for managing and growing all of Elanex's United States business practices, and for executing an aggressive expansion plan.
With two degrees in translation and an MBA, Adam has experience in all aspects of the translation and localization industry. Adam began on the linguistic side as a Spanish court interpreter and an in-house translator, but quickly moved to the business side and gained experience as a translation project manager and then director of sales and marketing. In his prior role, he was directly responsible for increasing sales by more than 30% to a ten year high, and for winning and handling the company's largest ever translation project, a project to transcribe and translate the trials of Saddam Hussein, Chemical Ali, and other members of the former Iraqi regime.
"Adam is an ideal fit for Elanex, as he has both a keen understanding of what drives clients' translation needs, and a very strong background in translation technology, which is our core area of differentiation. Adam deeply understands that innovative technologies are the key to creating a competitive advantage in professional translation services. He has hit the ground running, and we are delighted to have him on board," said Elanex CEO, Jonathan Kirk.
"Elanex technology is cutting-edge on so many levels, from its sophisticated and comprehensive globalization management system for rolling out and maintaining the largest translation projects to its new, easy-to-use Translation Search Engine, the simplicity of which could revolutionize translation in the same way that traditional search engines revolutionized the internet," commented Adam. "The days are long gone when a translation company could best meet all of its clients' needs by patching together off-the-shelf translation memories and other technologies. Elanex develops cutting-edge technologies in a comprehensive and integrated approach that gives translation purchasers the true advantage in quality, timeliness, cost-effectiveness, ease-of-use, security, and a wide range of product and service options."
Adam is also a frequent speaker at industry events, and an adjunct professor at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, where he teaches a course on translation technology.
