New York Real Estate Developer Donates Funds to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund
Jay Podolsky, once again decides to donate to a good cause that he truly believes in, this time it is the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
(PRWEB) November 28, 2007 -- The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is a leader in supporting the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families. Begun in 2000 under the auspices of the Intrepid Museum Foundation, and established as an independent not-for-profit organization in 2003, the Fund has provided close to $60 million in support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans. These efforts are funded entirely with donations from the public, and hundreds of thousands of individuals have contributed to the Fund.
Podolsky has been known for his generosity as well as his donation habits to many organizations, The American Red Cross, The UN Tsunami Relief Fund, Chevrat Pinto, Ramaz and the Museum of Jewish Heritage are amongst some of them and when he was approached about this cause he jumped on the opportunity by donating a considerable undisclosed amount. "This fund like many other funds I truly believe in, serve a good cause, and I am fortunate enough to be able to contribute to them. The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund provided close to $20 million to families of United States military personnel lost in performance of their duty, mostly in service in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2000, need I say more?" stated Podolsky.
A source close to Podolsky note that he intends to continue his good will as long as he remains convinced that the money is going to the needy and the unfortunate.
