American Heart Association No Longer the Only Valid Online CPR Provider for Nurses

While in their bathrobe and slippers, nurses can now securely renew CPR certificate. ProCPR.org, an online CPR certification company, is an acceptable form of certification for LPNs and RNs in institutions across all 50 states.
This was a great way to recertify. I had some many problems correlating and setting up a time to recertify because I live in a small rural area and there are not many classes available. What a stress reliever when I found this option

Grand Rapids, MI (PRWEB) November 28, 2007 -- Registered nurses can now securely avoid the typical stuffy, lengthy, and inconvenient CPR certification classroom programs. ProCPR.org, a blended eLearning CPR certification company, is an acceptable form of certification for LPNs and RNs in institutions across all 50 states.

"Renewing CPR online is wonderful, definitely better than sitting in a classroom for 6-8 hours for a day to go over the same information and taking the same test. Thank you for giving another alternative when renewing our CPR," said Children's Home Health Care RN Billie Martin of Sherman Texas.

ProCPR.org follows a curriculum meeting all AHA suggested training guidelines and strictly adheres to the latest ILCOR/ECC guidelines. Experienced healthcare professionals lead the certification process with state-of-the-art technology and video training. At the completion of the video training, a thirty-five question multiple choice and landmark test is completed, followed by a brief manikin demonstration.

"This program was excellent. The instructor was well educated and able to present the topic in a way that enhanced learning, a true teacher is one who motivates the students to learn; with my work schedule as an RN this program was most convenient," said Robert Clark a RN at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA.

Nurses certified through ProCPR receive two-minute weekly "refresher" videos e-mailed to them, as well as e-mailed reminders when their certificate is near expiration date. Records are stored in one secure centralized database, so lost cards can be quickly replaced.

"This was a great way to recertify. I had some many problems correlating and setting up a time to recertify because I live in a small rural area and there are not many classes available. What a stress reliever when I found this option," said Misty Nemitz a RN at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster, WI.

About ProCPR, LLC:

Headquartered in Grand Rapids MI, ProCPR is an accredited CPR certification program designed to meet the needs and demands of busy healthcare professionals.

The former statement regarding the approval of this program by all 50 state boards of nursing should be disregarded. This is not a function of state boards of nursing. The decision to approve or deny a CPR certificate is left up to each individual hospital or institution.
