Tait Launches Finest Portables Yet; TP8100 Is Tough, Reliable And Waterproof To IP67

Tait Radio Communications has introduced a new series of IP67-rated trunked and conventional portable radio solutions with the TP8100 series.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) December 3, 2007 -- Tait Radio Communications has introduced a new series of IP67-rated trunked and conventional portable radio solutions with the TP8100 series. The new series of portables are the most compact and feature-rich portables in Tait's history. The TP8100 series is currently available in both 5 Watt VHF and 4 Watt UHF versions with a plethora of complimentary professional grade accessories.

"This is a professional grade radio for the most demanding conditions: utilities, mining, local government, ports, airports, public transportation, entertainment complexes or anywhere where teams need to communicate in a difficult working environment. Users communicating where dust, dirt and rain are issues will find that the TP8100s' quality manufacture delivers better communications and greater reliability," said Bill Fredrickson, President of Tait Radio Communications in North America.

The conventional TP8120 and trunked TP8140 are full 16-key radios while the conventional TP8115 and trunked TP8135 radios come with limited keypads. These four products come with a 24-character LCD display screen, user friendly Windows programming software and a 2,000 mAh Li-Ion battery. Detailed information about the new TP8100 series can be found online at www.taitworld.com.

"The unique two-shot molded construction method of the TP8100 fuses the synthetic rubber armor and plastic leading to increase durability, improve shock absorption while providing a better grip. The same construction method was used as in our P25 public safety portable, the TP9100. The TP8100 radio is superbly built inside and out and its performance exceeds tests such as Military Standard (MIL-STD 810 F) drop tests. For example, the MIL-STD drop test is 26 times from 1.2m on plywood but Tait drops 26 times from 1.8m onto concrete, then uses the same radio to undergo the immersion tests. We know the TP8100 will delight our customers," concluded Fredrickson.

Tait Radio Communications is a leading international manufacturer and provider of world-class mobile voice and data communications equipment. Tait Radio Communications, a subsidiary of Tait Electronics, Ltd. based in Christchurch, New Zealand, has been a growing presence in the North American radio communications market for more than 20 years. With several new products on the horizon, Tait Radio Communications continues to impress.
