Registration Now Open for RFID Journal LIVE! 2008

RFID Journal has announced that registration is now open for its sixth annual conference and exhibition, being held April 16-18 at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.

New York, NY (PRWEB) December 3, 2007 -- RFID Journal, the world's leading media and events company covering radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, announced today that registration is now open for RFID Journal LIVE! 2008, its sixth annual conference and exhibition, being held April 16-18 at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. RFID Journal LIVE! is the largest and most important RFID event in the world. More than 2,500 people attended the 2007 event, including most leading early adopters of the technology.

To kick off this year's event, the company is running a limited-time promotion, giving away many exciting prizes to its readers. Those who did not receive a postcard with details about the promotion can participate by visiting www.rfidjournalevents.com/live/postcard.php and filling out their contact information at the bottom of the page to request an electronic postcard with a unique code for a chance to win. (See Web site for official rules.)

"We're very excited about the 2008 event, which promises to be bigger and better than even this year's landmark event," said Mark Roberti, founder and editor of RFID Journal.

RFID Journal LIVE! 2008 will feature 8 educational tracks customized for those with different levels of knowledge of RFID--from beginner to experienced implementer--and targeted to those interested in understanding how RFID can deliver real benefits in the Aerospace/Defense, Manufacturing, Retail/Consumer Products, Pharmaceutical and Transportation/Logistics industries.

The event will also feature 10 preconference seminars addressing the educational needs of specific groups interested in RFID:

  • RFID Journal University (for those new to RFID)
  • RFID in the Food Chain
  • RFID in Packaging
  • RFID in the Chemical Industry
  • RFID for Label Converters
  • RFID For IT Service Providers

  • AIM Auto-ID Channel Seminar (in partnership with AIM Global)

What's more, RFID Journal LIVE! 2008 will feature more than 200 leading technology providers exhibiting in the 100,000-square-foot exhibit hall. The exhibit hall will showcase live demonstration centers and, for the first time ever, technology companies will compete for the Best New Product award, to be determined by attendees.

In addition, EPCglobal will conduct a Joint Action Group meeting prior to RFID Journal LIVE! 2008, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers will hold its IEEE RFID 2008 conference in conjunction with the event. The EPCglobal meeting is a gathering of members from all action groups that contribute to the development of EPCglobal standards. The IEEE event is the second in a series of annual conferences dedicated to addressing the technical and policy challenges in the areas of RFID technologies, as well as their supporting large-scale distributed information systems and applications.
