2007 Los Angeles Organizing Expo Sets Attendance Record -- Welcomes Special Visit from the Office of the Honorable State Senator, Tom McClintock

Organizing Expo showcases products and services for getting organized, exceeds expectations with 175 attendees, a corporate sponsorship and a special visit from the Office of California State Senator Tom McClintock.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 10, 2007 -- The National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO-LA) (http://www.napola.org) achieved record attendance at its 2007 Los Angeles Organizing Expo, October 22, at the Olympic Collection Conference Center in West Los Angeles with 175 members, guests, vendors and special attendees.

The third annual event drew guests from Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Francisco and Denver, Colorado. Seventy-five public attendees joined 75 NAPO-LA members and 25 vendors, representing a 50% increase over last year's Organizing Expo. A first time Corporate Sponsorship in the amount of $500 came from Chris McKenry of Get It Together LA! (http://www.getittogetherla.com). This sponsorship helped the non-profit organization successfully reach a fund-raising goal of $2000.

"NAPO-LA is pleased to partner with the Southern California business community to bring the public face-to-face with organizing manufacturers, services, authors and products," commented NAPO-LA Chapter President John Trosko. "We are particularly ecstatic that Chris McKenry and Get It Together LA! stepped forward to support the Expo with its sponsorship."

The West Los Angeles event featured a special visit from the Office of the Honorable Tom McClintock, California State Senator for the Northwest District of Los Angeles. The Office presented John Trosko, NAPO-LA Chapter President, with a certificate of recognition for his and the chapter's outstanding service to the local community.

Also attending the Expo were representatives from various NAPO-LA Chapter committees who staffed information tables, including:

  • NAPO in the Schools: A national community outreach program to bring basic organizing principals to students in all grade levels;
  • NAPO-LA Education Development Committee: Provides interactive training sessions, resources and encouragement to chapter members, enabling them to successfully build their business and interact with clients;
  • NAPO-LA Golden Circle: Professional organizing consultants, residential and corporate, who have been in business for a minimum of 5 years.
