Somers Point Jazz Society Presents the Blue Moon Brewery Winter Jazz Series

Blue Moon Brewery Winter Jazz series to take place December 8 at the Inlet restaurant in Somers Point.

(PRWEB) December 5, 2007 -- The Somers Point Jazz Society will present the Blue Moom Brewery winter jazz series starting at 8pm on December 8 at the The Inlet Restaurant (upstairs), 998 Bay Ave., Somers Point, NJ. Jeannie Brooks and her trio, CrossTown Traffic will be performing that night.

Jeannie Brooks has been performing in New York, Philadelphia, and Europe for several years. Raised on gospel, R&B and jazz, she has developed her own style of singing which is instantly recognizable. On the concert stages and jazz festivals from here to Paris, her vocals are reminiscent of Sarah Vaughn, Nancy Wilson & Ella. She appears regularly at Lakey's, Rock Lobster, Ortlieb's Jazzhaus & the famous Warmdaddy's Blues Club in Philladelphia. At 8:30PM at Fregory's restaurant on Shore Road in Somers Point The Joe Breidenstine/Michael Pedicin Quartet will be performing. Trumpet player Joe Breidenstine is a native of Linwood, NJ and a great jazz player.

After many years of traveling the world with various music groups, Joe settled in New York and entered the jazz world, playing with such notables as Stanley Turrentine, George Benson, Tito Puente, and Eric Alexander. He returned to Linwood a few years ago and has become an in-demand player both locally as well as in the New York area. Michael Pedicin, composer & tenor sax giant, needs no introduction to the jazz audience. He has had a long and successful career in jazz, having traveled the world playing music.

He has been featured with such artists as Dave Brubeck, Pat Martino, Peter Erskine, Maynard Ferguson, Frank Sinatra & Diane Schuur. He and his quintet recently toured both US coasts, promoting his new CD, entitled "Everything Starts Now."

On Saturday, December 8th, these two outstanding artists join forces for an evening of great jazz. Joining them will be Hammond B-3 artist Dan Kostelnik and drummer Joe Smith. Admission is $10 for non-members and includes admission to both venues.
