Savannah, Georgia (PRWEB) December 5, 2007
OnPoint Digital, Inc., a leading provider of eLearning and Mobile learning solutions, is pleased to announce its win for "Best Mobile Learning Program" at the eLearning Guild's DemoFest, part of the DevLearn 2007 Conference in San Jose, California.
DemoFest is a "people's choice" style competition where participants vote for the courses or applications they consider the most innovative. Participants see a wide variety of eLearning demos and have a chance to talk to the designers and developers about the goals and objectives, tools, technologies, processes, and challenges they faced.
OnPoint entered the mobile learning competition with an innovative solution designed for Sales Quenchers Corporation, a provider of sales training and personal development programs. OnPoint worked with Sales Quenchers to help them move their content (synopses of books on various aspects of selling and personal development by well-known authors) from their existing physical, pocket-sized flash card format to a next generation, digital model for delivery online or to a subscriber's cellular phone. OnPoint worked with Sales Quenchers to design a platform to support a subscription-based model wherein Sales Quenchers' customers could access narrated learning lessons on a daily basis, all from any basic cell phone or landline telephone. The solution utilizes OnPoint's CellCast platform and eCommerce module, and allows users to self-register and purchase CellCast subscriptions online.
"We're honored to be recognized for our work with Sales Quenchers," said Robert Gadd, OnPoint Digital's President and representative at DemoFest. "We enjoyed the opportunity to show how forward-thinking organizations are taking advantage of our CellCast solution to solve their business challenges."
Michael Altshuler, President of Sales Quenchers Corporation, said, "The transition to our new 'digital' persona is quite exciting. Moving to an online delivery strategy dramatically expands our market reach and revenue potential. The ability to deliver our content directly to cell phones means we eliminate any concerns our customers may have had relating to device availability and costs - their users don't need to invest in iPods; everyone today has a cell phone! And the impact of the spoken word over simple text brings enhanced benefit to the learning process."
