brand.LIVE, a major event production and marketing agency, proudly announces their alliance with UNICEF to raise awareness towards the fight against AIDS. They were selected by UNICEF to do the exclusive talent and critical backstage coordination for the Unite Against AIDS Concert. As a key partner, brand.LIVE was responsible for stage, technical, and show direction of the entire event.
On November 28, Canadian icons, Avril Lavigne and Sarah McLachlan performed a fundraising concert in support of UNICEF and the Unite for Children, Unite Against AIDS campaign at the Bell Centre in Montreal. More than 8,000 fans turned out for the music event hosted by Canadian Idol's Ben Mulroney, and also featured special guests Corneille, Marie-Mai, Angelique Kidjo, Nikki Yanofsky and John Mayer.
brand.LIVE's execution was essential to this event's success - as the sheer number of artists performing demanded backstage magic to ensure seamless transition from band to band. "We pride ourselves on consistently providing value added solutions to our clients," said Paul Runnals, Senior Producer of brand.LIVE. "For UNICEF's concert we opted for a revolving turntable stage, where while one artist is performing on the front side the other is being setup with absolute, decisive timing."
This turn-key production was how brand.LIVE directed some of the best highlights of the concert such as, rare artist collaborations between Sarah McLachlan and Avril Lavigne, plus another power-vocaled duo between McLachlan and John Mayer.
"It's so rewarding to see your contribution in action engaging the youth market, but also raising awareness and funding for global issues like AIDS. Our team gets to do their jobs and at the same time change the lives of children worldwide," added Catherine Runnals, Senior Producer of brand.LIVE. "brand.LIVE has often been privileged to create and produce major events that make a difference."
Subsequent concerts are expected to take place every year in different Canadian cities, this suits well to brand.LIVE's continued commitment toward combining the creativity and talent of industry professionals with the power of technology.
