For a North East firm to rank so highly on an international scale from its regional base is proof of both the region's growing strengths in digital marketing and of TH_NK's hugely impressive business performance.
(PRWEB) December 5, 2007
North East digital agency TH_NK picked up the award for the fastest growing company in the Media and Entertainment sector at the Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 EMEA awards in London on Monday 26th November.
TH_NK were also ranked an overall 27th in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA. Out of 21 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Newcastle based TH_NK was one of only three North East firms to make the EMEA Technology Fast 500 - the only firm in the region and one of only six UK firms o make the top 30.
Now in its seventh year of the ranking in EMEA, Deloitte's Fastest 500 is the most objective industry-ranking standard to focus on the technology sector.
The news follows TH_NK's impressive 4th place victory in this year's Deloitte Fast 50, after it recorded significant growth and doubled turnover in the last year.
Preparing for further expansion with the launch of a London operation and the announcement of a new high profile Chairman, its client base includes global market research company, TNS, Grainger plc, Northumbrian Water, Foreign Office, NHS, ITV and Northern Rock. TH_NK is now embarking on an ambitious growth plan for 2010 with turnover expected to reach £10million.
David Wilkinson, TMT Lead Partner for Deloitte's Newcastle office, said: "This Fastest 500 initiative measures cutting-edge technology firms from across the globe, including businesses that already have well-established national and international profiles.
"For a North East firm to rank so highly on an international scale from its regional base is proof of both the region's growing strengths in digital marketing and of TH_NK's hugely impressive business performance."
TH_NK's managing director, Tarek Nseir, said: "We are overwhelmed to have followed our recent success in the Deloitte Fast 50 rankings, to be the only North East company in the Fast 500 - it's a fantastic achievement that is both testament to the continual hard work delivered by our talented, passionate team here at TH_NK and a real boost as we look to the future expansion of the company on both a national and international scale."
The Fast 500 is researched by Deloitte's Global Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Practice and provides a snapshot of the current state of play in the technology sector. The UK led again this year in terms of overall numbers, closely followed by France. The software sector continues to dominate the ranking, making up 200 of the 500 companies.
Technology acceleration nations are also beginning to emerge, including Israel, Scandinavia, Ireland and the Netherlands. While Deloitte's Fast 500 shows a consistent increase in average growth rates year on year, this is in stark contrast to that of the North American Fast 500, where average growth rates have been falling since 2001.
