Author's Book Sets Godly Goals and Preserves Family Values

Upholding values America was founded on is first on its agenda.

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) December 8, 2007 -- Today's news is filled with stories of how schools and other organizations are supporting overly permissive behavior by teens as young as 11 and 12. Thomas Wade Bounds' Choices, My Secrets ($9.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-369-9) is an interactive way to help parents and teens come together and discuss openly the consequences some choices made without consideration can have on a teen and their family's life. The book tells the compelling story of Rachel, a teenager faced with unexpected choices after a summer romance brings her more than she bargained for. Searching for hope, she finds things spinning out of control for her until a chance encounter helps her think clearly. Learn whether or not she plows ahead or finds her true self and gains the faith, hope and courage to consider the best choices to guide her through her incredible journey.

Says Bounds, "This story, when read by teens and parents together, may be utilized to stimulate discussion, bringing out issues and pressures teenagers face today. [It is a tool to help set expectations and positive, godly goals toward their family values which may help prevent similar choices. Hopefully, the reader may experience Rachel's choices, struggles, and wisdom she learned. I hope they will think about the consequences or talk it out before making similar adult decisions."

A father of two, Bounds penned his book in response to the existing void in leadership and guidance for children, as well as the desire to uphold the values upon which our country was founded. "I feel the presence of 'political correctness' prevents [my children from having the full heritage my parents passed on to me and I hope [that my children will pass on to theirs for generations to come. I am not political or ideological in this desire, only seeking to serve and preserve the faith that led to our country's founding and God's great blessing upon us."
