Fortune Market is committed to working hand in hand with the track promoter to bring race fans to the race and make the Fortune Market 250 one of the most successful Grand-Am racing events of the season

Officials from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca announced today an agreement with Fortune Market Media as the title sponsor of the Fortune Market 250 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series race on Saturday, May 17, 2008.

Fortune Market Media is a diversified media and communications company providing businesses with a variety of financial, consumer, and investor related communications services. Fortune Market recently acquired Sigalsport. The two entities are now the Fortune Market Racing team - becoming the first North American publicly traded race team.

"The 2008 Fortune Market 250 featuring the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series event at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is the home race for Fortune Market Racing and the closest race to Fortune Market Media's Los Angeles headquarters. We elected to sponsor this event because it represents the perfect opportunity to promote and increase Fortune Market's name, brand and subsidiaries awareness," said Emmanuel Lupe, Fortune Market Media vice president of Motorsports and managing director of Fortune Market Racing. The Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series and Champ Car World Series converge on the Monterey Peninsula to form the Monterey Festival of Speed which is billed as a double feature weekend. Saturday, May 17th features the ultra-competitive, wheel-to-wheel action of the Grand-Am Daytona Prototype and GT cars in a 250-mile race. On Sunday, May 18th, it's the return of the Champ Car World Series - the fastest racing cars currently competing at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca..
