Serial Entrepreneur, Edward DuCoin, Offered Creative Ideas for Businesses During Presentation Entitled 'Funding Complete -- Now What?'
Presentation to NJEN members in Princeton on December 5, 2007.
Marlton, New Jersey (PRWEB) December 8, 2007 -- Edward DuCoin has an abundance of knowledge about the business world, and the pitfalls business owners often encounter. Thankfully, Ed doesn't hoard that knowledge; he readily shares it with others, as he is regularly invited to speak to business and trade groups about marketing and business operational excellence. On December 5, New Jersey Entrepreneurial Network (NJEN) members had the opportunity to dialog with Ed at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Princeton, NJ.
Ed "cut his teeth" as a business owner in 1984, as an 18-year-old college student at Camden County (NJ) Community College. A concept for a class term paper and $200 provided the impetus for Ed to form Impact Marketing, a start-up which quickly grew into a thriving organization. Impact Marketing was later publicly traded on NASDAQ, and was listed as one of the "500 Fastest Growing Companies" for three consecutive years by INC Magazine.
"I love to speak to entrepreneurs and hopefully, have them benefit from lessons learned," said Edward DuCoin. He added, "I think the topic is important. There are many entrepreneurial presentations about how to get funded, but few about what to do once funded, and how to establish expectations and responsibilities among the board, executives, investors and even vendors."
After the presentation, Robert Frawley, Esquire, and Chairman of the Board of NJEN, said, "NJEN prides itself on bringing speakers to the entrepreneurial community who have 'walked the walk.' Ed combines common sense advice, based on his personal business experience, with an interactive presentation style to give our attendees an informative and enjoyable lunchtime seminar."
Ed earned a B.S. in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the published author of the best seller "The Glass is Half Full and Frozen" and a contributing author to the motivational series "Wake Up and Live the Life You Love." He shares his entrepreneurial expertise as a professor at the Fox School of Business at Temple University. Ed also fuels his passion for race car driving, and races stock cars nationally.
