Designer Coffee Makes Perfect Holiday Gift, But Order Early

Sanani Coffee Company won't grind specialty coffee beans until they are ordered, so holiday shoppers need to order early.

Designer coffee maker Tariq Ausaf is recommending that customers order boxes of Sanani Mocha Coffee intended for holiday gifts early because his exclusive process for preparing the coffee involves processing each order by hand.

Ausaf's company flies coffee beans from Yemen to Texas, an extreme measure in the coffee business, and does not grind them until a customer places an order. This air-sped, hand-prepared process assures the freshness of the coffee, but it prohibits the company from stocking up inventory.

"We get the coffee here so quickly that you can see the natural oils still on the beans," said Ausaf. "This coffee is too special to mass-produce or to let sit in warehouses."

While it is less convenient for the coffee company to maintain no inventory and can sometimes take longer to process orders, Ausaf said that his company will make every effort to process holiday orders in time. They will also ship directly to gift recipients upon a customer's request.

The US Postal Service is advising customers to ship Priority Mail packages by December 20 and Express Mail packages by December 22. Ausaf suggests that customers place orders a few days prior to these deadlines to make sure his company has time to prepare and ship each order.

Holiday shoppers can order Sanani Mocha Coffee through the company's website at http://www.sanani.com. Each 250-gram box of coffee is $24.00 and is packaged in an elegant, silver box branded with the Sanani logo.
