Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) December 12, 2007
Olympic swimming hopeful and NCAA champion Adam Ritter has signed a representation agreement with Arluck Promotions, the agency announced today.
"We're excited about Adam's future and are really looking forward to exploring partnership opportunities with him," said David Arluck, President of Arluck Promotions. "Adam is not only a great talent in the pool, but an intelligent, well-spoken and thoughtful young man with a bright future beyond athletics."
Ritter, of Reynoldsburg, OH, just outside of Columbus, led the USA National Team at this summer's World University Games with five medals, including three golds. He broke the meet record in winning the 200 free and swam on three medal-winning relays. This followed a successful senior year at the University of Arizona where he was the NCAA champion in the 200 individual medley.
A fifth-year Civil Engineering student at Arizona, Ritter is a prime example of the "student" part of student-athlete, holding a 3.13 GPA. He was given the Sapphire Award as the University of Arizona's Top Male Student-Athlete in 2007.
Ritter hopes to use his professional athlete status to help raise awareness of a medical condition called deep vein thrombosis. His father and uncles suffer from this condition and, because it can be hereditary, he is at risk for developing it in the future.
