Routine test or balance calibration is important to ensure precise and accurate weighing results. The new METTLER TOLEDO online Weight Selector supports the fast finding of the right test weight. Our innovative weight selector, based on manufacturer-approved recommendations, is designed to ease customer confusion when selecting the right weight. The tool is designed to work with current, legacy and even non-METTLER TOLEDO balances.
How does the weight selector work?
By selecting a current or legacy METTLER TOLEDO balance model number or a non-METTLER TOLEDO balance based on unit capacity, the selector is able to recommend the correct weights for routine balance calibration.
Why two weights?
It is important to test both the minimum and maximum weight capacity of a balance. The first weight is a weight around the balance's maximum capacity. The second is around 5% of the balance's minimum. To reach utmost weighing accuracy, and to allow an optimal use of the weighing instruments, it is necessary to conduct calibration and test procedures in a regular and timely manner.
Weight recommendations are offered to improve weighing accuracy and to optimize the use of the weighing instruments and all weights should have a valid calibration certificate.
