Rapid Bind Inc. Expands Services with Ink Jet Imaging System

New Kirk-Rudy high speed, NetJet System will streamline delivery process.

Portland, OR (PRWEB) December 13, 2007 -- As part of an ongoing effort to expand their array of value-added post press services, Rapid Bind Inc. announced the installation of a high speed Kirk-Rudy NetJet ink jet imaging system. This new addition allows Rapid Bind to streamline the finishing-through-mailing process for customers, often saving both time and money.

"Many of our folding, gluing, saddle stitching and wafer sealing jobs are ultimately distributed through the United States Postal Service," says company co-owner Chris Garvey. "Now, we can complete the last step: ink jet image and deposit into the U.S. mail stream. Our under-one-roof solution means Rapid Bind customers may experience faster turnaround times and higher production yields."

Offering an array of capabilities all in one facility is a major advantage for Rapid Bind since they're committed to helping customers save hours or even days on their projects. That's a far cry from other industry scenarios where projects are routinely farmed out and customers have to rely on several companies to complete different tasks which burns up a lot of time.

Rapid Bind has all the raw materials plus the full complement of tools for cutting, folding and labeling to handle projects from start to finish, engineering work from pre-printed pieces all the way through to the mail house. The addition of the Kirk-Rudy NetJet ink jet imaging system represents the latest selling point for the Pacific Northwest bindery.

"This system gives us the flexibility to do more for our customers," says estimator Tom Hartman. "This move makes sense because we've always produced a large number of direct-mail pieces. Our customers are going to love our ability to add a customized message to each individual recipient at the same time we're imaging their addresses."

Established in 1977, Rapid Bind offers a complete range of finishing, binding and value-added services including mechanical binding, saddle-stitching, folding, gluing, attaching, die-cutting and more. The company's dedicated employees have the expertise and equipment to handle any job, large or small, with high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
