It may not exactly be danger on the high seas, but for surfers of the internet, Phozi is offering free webcams to the three people who submit the best, most creative and original pirate-themed image on phozi.com (http://www.phozi.com) using the available tools. The categories from which the winners will be chosen are: cutest pirate theme, best picture, and funniest picture.

Beginning December 12, 2007 and ending January 15, 2008 the contest is available for United States and International residents. Contestants must submit their images via e-mail, and the winners, along with each receiving a free webcam, Phozi t-shirt, Sticker Pack and have their images displayed on phozi.com for all to see.

“This is a fun way for users to become more acquainted with the different features of Phozi,” says David Kayo, Vice President of Business Development. “This site offers a wide range of digital enhancements that can be added to snapshots in unique, amusing ways.”

Phozi, a free online photo booth, has been busy adding features to the site, including a chat room, the ability to create personalized user profiles, and viewing and rating capability of a gallery of posted snapshots.

“We are always looking for new ways to implement Phozi and make it more interactive, fun and useful,” Kayo says. “Hopefully, for the contest, users will have a great time using the tools available to come up with some really neat pirate-themed shots.”

Started in early 2007, Phozi has continued to expand its services, from taking pictures online to using widgets on websites such as MySpace, Facebook, and Piczo. For those familiar with Purikura, the Japanese photo booth phenomenon, Phozi has brought this idea to the United States and into the hands of anyone with the internet and digital photo-taking capability.
