Kwik-Flash for Calendar -- Car Insurance MD Joins Employees in Baring All for Glasgow Charity

Kwik-Fit Insurance Managing Director, Martin Oliver has been baring all and getting his kit off, all in the name of charity.

(PRWEB) December 17, 2007 -- Kwik-Fit Insurance Managing Director, Martin Oliver has been baring all and getting his kit off, all in the name of charity.

The boss of the Lanarkshire-based car insurance intermediary has joined 10 other Kwik-Fit Insurance employees and a selection of Tak Tent members -- many of whom have come through their own cancer journey -- to pose in a naked (but tasteful) calendar for Glasgow-based charity Tak Tent.

We invited the staff to get involved in our naked calendar in the hope of getting one or two volunteers, but never did I expect to get so many, especially as that included the Managing Director of the company!

The cancer support charity which was nominated as the company's Charity of the Year back in January, is due to receive more than £30k from the business next month after 12 months of fundraising by staff. They approached Martin Oliver and his people to support the calendar by being photographed for four months -- each to symbolise the different fundraising methods undertaken by Kwik-Fit Insurance during 2007.

Martin was photographed alongside a glamorous assistant presenting a raffle. The other pics include the five-a-side football team lined up for a free kick, four girls behind a desk -- taking the dress down days a bit too far -- and finally all of the employees involved presenting a big cheque.

Martin Oliver said: "We have committed to a Charity of the Year for a number of years now but never before have I been asked to take my kit off. However it's a great way of fundaising, so I was delighted to be of service."

"Many of the ways in which we raise the money for charity at Kwik-Fit Insurance is focussed around fun events, for example we just raised thousands for Tak Tent though a Battle of the Bands evening at the Renfrew Ferry. The naked calendar is another bit of fun and all who were involved had a fantastic time -- it will hopefully raise lots of much needed funds in the process."

The calendars will be on sale from Kwik-Fit Insurance and through the Tak Tent website.
Tak Tent, based at Gartnavel Hospital, promotes the care of people in Scotland who are on the cancer journey, along with their friends and family by providing emotional support to all. Tak Tent groups can also be found locally across Scotland, offering support to local communities. Support in the way of Counselling and Complementary Therapies is available through the head quarters within the Gartnavel Hospital Complex.
