®'s "Give Back To The Racers Tour 2007" Comes to a Close and the Top 3 Sponsorships are Awarded

Share Article®, announced last Friday, at the Performance Racing Industry Show in Orlando Florida, the top prize winners of its $55,000 "Give Back To The Racers Tour 2007". This completes the contest that has been running on since March 1, 2007.

The three finalists were all flown to Orlando, FL, all expenses paid by®, for the Performance Racing Industry Show which ran December 6th through the 8th. When they arrived at the show they knew they were one of three top vote-getters as determined by members but still had yet to learn if they had won $2,500, $7,500 or the grand prize of $15,000.

The winners were awarded by Cruz Pedregon, NHRA Funny Car Champion, and included Gail Whisnant of Newton, NC, grand prize winner, Gene Hinders of Hudson, IA, second place winner and Mary Baltzell of Rancho Mirage, CA, third place winner. Gail walked away with a $15,000 sponsorship, Gene took the $7,500 sponsorship and Mary rounded out the top three taking home the $2,500 sponsorship.

"This has been an amazing experience for my family and me. We are excited to have the opportunity to represent as well as our fellow racers and look forward to a successful year," said Gail Whisnant, The Grand Prize Winner. "We hope to have an extremely successful year as we race for the wins each week."

Gavin Jerome, track announcer for PINKS was the entertaining MC of the event. "The idea to give back to the grassroots racers was a great concept for a program that developed and executed. It really gives the racers a chance to participate in an activity they really enjoy but that can be costly," Gavin stated.
