Dallas, TX (PRWEB) December 17, 2007
Bell Janitorial Services, Inc. (http://www.belljanitorial.com) confirmed that the company is the recipient of The WorkSource Partner Award, an honor designed to recognize the Texas human-resource leader's outstanding partners.
Winners of the 12th Annual Award were honored in a special ceremony at the CityPlace in November. The Honorable Tom Leppert, Mayor of the City of Dallas, spoke and congratulated the group which included The Dallas Housing Authority and The Urban League of Greater Dallas, among others.
In a separate statement, The WorkSource for Dallas County (http://www.worksource.org) officials indicated this marks the first time the recognition has gone to a partner in the building-maintenance services.
WorkSource for Dallas County praised the performance of Bell Janitorial, which cleans and maintains approximately 44,000 square feet of the firm's workforce centers.
"Bell Janitorial is the team that comes in and cleans away the cobwebs -- or the mud from the movers -- and works into the night to make sure our centers sparkle each day," said Larry Jefferson, a senior official at The WorkSource for Dallas County.
"The Bell team has made grand efforts over the last year to facilitate our many relocations and near disasters -- including ice, rain, mud and chemical fumes. Nothing stops Bell from making us look good and making our centers the very best our customers can expect -- every day."
Jefferson underscored the trust the firm now places in Bell, which it originally contracted to service only a single WorkSource location ten years ago. "Bell's commitment -- and the quality of its work -- won us over. By the end of the year, they'll be cleaning more than 50,000 square feet of space for us, and we expect to keep working with them as we continue to grow and expand."
Bell Janitorial CEO and COE Susan H. Morrissey, a resident of Preston Hollow, describes the WorkSource Partner Award as an honor that crowns the firm's decade of service to date to the HR specialists.
"We're deeply touched and honored that The WorkSource continues to think so highly of us," Bell underscored. "When the other award recipients include the Dallas Housing Authority and the Urban League of Greater Dallas, you know you're in good company. We can't thank The WorkSource for Dallas County enough -- both for this award, and for their continuing trust."
Susan Morrissey, who has served as Bell Janitorial's CEO since 1990, and worked for the company 15 years prior to that, is an active member of the Park Cities community, serving, among other posts, as an upcoming member of the 2008 board of the Women's Business Council Southwest; an active partner in Dallas Social Venture Partners; a founding board member for Exceptional Women; and a former board member for Women in Executive Leadership, for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) -- Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter, for Southwest Sanitary Paper & Supply Association and for International Distribution Group.
Morrissey, a third-generation Dallasite, noted that The WorkSource award is the latest in a string of accolades for the North Texas company. Bell Janitorial Services was also recognized as Outstanding Partner of the Year by the international buying group International Distribution Systems, Inc., and as the 2003 WBE Advocate of the Year award winner by the Women's Business Council Southwest.
