New York, NY (PRWEB) December 19, 2007
December 18, 2007, New York, NY -- Jean-Sebastien Robicquet, CEO of EuroWineGate, announced today that G'Vine (http://www.g-vine.com)--the first-ever Gin distilled from a grape spirit and starring the vine flower-- has been named one of Wine Enthusiast Magazine's Top 50 Spirits of 2007. The "Special Best of Year Issue" of Wine Enthusiast, which hits newsstands during the month of December, marks the most celebrated spirits of 2007.
The list of the Top Spirits of 2007 was generated by F. Paul Pacult, an international expert on the alcoholic beverage industry and the Spirits Tasting Director for Wine Enthusiast. "The silver thread that runs through this particular cloth is the admirable quality of every single product," Pacult said. "Each is a supremely satisfying and gratifying experience of the first rank."
G'Vine Gin received a score of Superb, coming in at 90-95, Highly Recommended. Pacult described G'Vine as a "satisfying mouth experience."
"It's a true honor to be recognized by such a prestigious publication and a world-renowned reviewer," said Jean-Sebastien Robicquet, founder and master distiller of EuroWineGate, the company that created G'Vine.
Earlier this year, noted spirits expert Gary Regan described G'Vine has "exceedingly intriguing" and "incredibly seductive" while Miami Herald declared, "G'Vine is divine!" and Beverage Tasting Institute (BTI) gave it the highest mark of the Gin category.
G'Vine is characterized by its unique and sophisticated, yet light and smooth taste. From the first sip, G'Vine is delicate and floral, evolving into spicy warmth with a long and delicate finish. The subtle, aromatic vine flower infusion softens the traditional juniper taste. Smooth and well balanced in the mouth, G'Vine is full-bodied and elegant.
The base for the G'Vine infusion is unique to the gin family. The rare green grape flower, which lasts just two weeks after blossoming in June, is handpicked and carefully macerated in the Ugni Blanc grape spirit grown in the region of Cognac. In a second step, the grape spirit, much smoother and more suave than the traditional grain spirit associated with gin production, is then distilled in small batches with a unique combination of nine botanicals chosen for their purity and aromatic properties: ginger root, liquorice, green cardamom, cassia bark, coriander, juniper berries, cubeb berries, nutmeg and lime. The green grape flowers, the Ugni Blanc spirit and the botanicals infusions are then blended in perfect proportion and copper-pot distilled a fifth and last time for an exquisite marriage.
G'Vine's distinctiveness is captured in its sleek, classy bottle-- individually numbered to reflect the spirit's exclusivity. Contemporary, upscale and refined, the bottle's transparency reflects the spirits smooth, fresh essence and the soft, green packaging is reminiscent of the vine flower and the brightness of the Cognac vineyards in spring.
Launched in 2006, G'Vine is currently available in the finest on and off-premise locations in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York Metro area, Nevada, New Jersey, Washington, DC, Maryland, Georgia, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Upstate New York.
